Field Day & Year Books

Tomorrow is field day. If you took your child home from the zoo on Friday please be sure they wear our tie-died Rock Star class shirt tomorrow. Please wear tennis shoes, socks, apply sunscreen before school and send in a water bottle. Tomorrow is going to be a HOT one!

Also, if you ordered a year book they are coming home today. If you are okay with having classmates and friends sign the year books you may send them back to school tomorrow with a pen.

Today in take home folders you will find a letter about beach day and beach buckets. Please be sure to read it.

I look forward to seeing all the moms next Monday at 8:30 for Muffins for Moms!

Lady Love the Hamster!

My family and I will be outta town for Spring Break. Do we have any “stay”cationers who would be interested in taking our class pet home for the week? I also need a volunteer for the fish, Red. Both are SUPER low maintenance! Please email me and we will make arrangements for pick up! Thanks!

Allison and I cannot thank you enough for ALL of the wonderful gifts and surprises this morning. I am overwhelmed by all of the support and supplies that were sent in. I tried to explain to the kids it is like Christmas morning for a teacher. My “wish list” isn’t made up of toys but new fun school supplies. These are things I “want” to help make learning more fun not necessarily things we need for our classroom.

The kids are SO EXCITED to try out the bucket seats and “round wiggle seat” during reading workshop and how to use our new “STEM robot mouse”.  I think Ms. Rose and I are more excited about the laminator, pencil sharpener, sharpies, highlighters and fancy pens.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for helping me make learning fun for your little people. I am so blessed to be your child’s teacher and have a job I love!

Thanks again for all you do to support us!

Happy New Year Rockstar families! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I am excited to see all my little people back tomorrow. Believe it or not, I missed them! 🙂

We do have a new student joining our class tomorrow and to further shake things up I have shuffled student seats around. A new seat, a new perspective, different table buddies, a new box of crayons and a new YEAR! We are off to a great start!

As many of you heard, we have a new class pet! Little Miss Lady Love is a robo hamster. If you are interested in taking her home for a weekend please email me and let me know. She has a little travel “home” but I will request that a parent pick her up and return her. She’s not big enough to ride the bus. 😉 You will not have to feed her and she is NOT allowed to leave her “house” once she goes home with you. She is super fast, a wiggly little booger and the flight risk is too great. Lady Love (aka: Lady, Elle, LL, Missy…) is nocturnal, VERY low maintenance, and we would love to share her with our rockstar families. She is super cute!

As a reminder, report cards will go home this Friday. Please sign the insert stating you received the report card  and return the envelope UNSEALED. You may keep the report card for your records.

I will send home a new weekly sheet next Monday. We do have PE on Friday so please have your little one wear tennis shoes!

I hope everyone has a wonderful 2018 and I hope to see you soon!
