First Week Update!

Happy Friday 4th Grade Families! We have successfully made it through our first week of school! During this week, we were able to adjust to a new routine, discover our individual learning styles, and learn about our new classmates and teachers. The students also participated in many team building activities. On Monday, the students were challenged to build a paper cup tower using only string and a rubber band! It was so much fun, and the students worked together well! We also wrote about what career we want in the future, and we were able to take some cute pictures!

Parents, if you have not already joined our Class Dojo page, please consider joining! If you need directions on how to join, please email Ms. Coyle at [email protected] Class Dojo is a great way for us to share updates, pictures, and for parents to track their student’s daily behavior.

Finally, we hope to see you all at Pitner’s Open House on Thursday, August 10th from 6:00pm-7:30pm!

Have a great weekend!

Ms. Coyle & Mrs. Rogers

Welcome to 4th Grade!

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! My name is Ms. Coyle, and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! While this is my first year at Pitner, this will be my fourth full year of teaching! I have previously taught Kindergarten and 3rd Grade in Conyers, Georgia, but I am extremely excited to be back “home” in Cobb County! I attended Baker Elementary as a student, and I graduated from East Paulding High School before attending the University of Georgia! Go Dawgs! I graduated from UGA in the Fall of 2013 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and I have also obtained my gifted endorsement during my career as a teacher. I have a passion for teaching and learning, and I love to share my joy of learning with my students! In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors. You will often find me on a softball field, volleyball court, or hiking somewhere new!

I am looking forward to meeting you and your family at our Sneak-A-Peek on Thursday, July 27th from 3pm-5pm.┬áStudents with last names beginning with A-L will attend from 3 pm – 4 pm. Students with the last names beginning with letters M-Z will attend from 4 pm – 5 pm. I have been busy working on setting up our new classroom home for the year, and I can’t wait to share it with you! You may go ahead and bring in your supplies at this time if you have them, so we can begin getting you organized for the first day of school! Please, label any personal supply items (backpacks, lunchboxes, pencil boxes, etc.) with your child’s name.

I can’t wait to meet you, soon! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email me [email protected]

Sincerely,

Ms. Coyle
