100th Day Of School

See the source image

On Monday, January 29th, our class will celebrate the 100th day of school!  We will celebrate this day with many activities that relate to 100.  These activities will include reading, writing, art, and math activities.  We will be making an 100th Day Snack.  If you could help us, please send in an item from the attached link.  http://sauerspleasebringit.pleasebringit.com/public/j+nJBzlf3kE

All of our Math Work Jobs will be focused on the number 100 and we will be providing supplies for our “big, blowout” 100 celebration.  We would also like for your child to do a “100” project.  Please have your child select 100 small items and create a picture (on a ½ sheet of poster board) with the objects.  Some examples would be to draw a picture of a house/yard and make clouds out of 100 cotton balls or make a log cabin out of 100 pretzel sticks – We have found that parents and kids are much more creative than we are, so we are sure you all will come up with some great ideas!  Please have your child bring his/her project to school on Friday, January 26th.

All children are also invited to decorate and wear a 100th day t-shirt.  Find a t-shirt (old or new).  Find 100 things to put on your t-shirt.  For example your shirt may have 100 ribbons, 100 safety pins, 100 patches, 100 googly eyes, or 100 polka dots.  Count as you work, have your child count by 10’s to 100 as well.  We hope that these activities will be both fun and meaningful for your child and your family.  Your child should wear their shirt on the 100th day!
