Block 1, 2, 4, & 5

Students completed Activator #4 in their composition book.

After going over specific errors I’ve seen in some reading logs, students traded their reading logs with a partner. They were to read the logs and make sure that:

  1. the passage chosen matched the commentary written
  2. the passage includes the tag for dialogue or says who spoke the diialogue
  3. the commentary has at least 3 complete sentences
  4. the commentary was detailed and specific to this novel

Homework- Students need to have completed reading chapter 1-6 and the reading logs that coincide with them.

Block 3 AC LA

After I reminded and discussed with the class several issues I saw when grading their reading logs, students then logged into the computer and began reading the comments and grades for reading logs 1-5 on Office 365.

Students then continued reading and completing their Reader’s Logs on the novel Walk Two Moons.

Homework- No homework tonight unless a student did not complete chapters 1-5 and the reading logs for 1-5 yet (most have done this).
