TODAY STUDENTS ONLY WENT TO BLOCKS 1, 3, 4, & 6.

Blocks 1 and 4:

  • Students were to complete pages 106-107 in the Spelling/Vocabulary packet.
    • For the “Write a Diary Entry” section…it needs to be 3 or more sentences with 3 list words on notebook paper.
    • Students were told to cross out the “and a personal word” part of the instructions.

Homework- Finish all of the packet before Friday’s class.

Block 3:

Complete page 106 only of the spelling/vocabulary packet.

Homework- Complete the first 3 pages of the packet (pages 104-106) before tomorrow’s class.

Blocks 2 and 5 completed the following on Wednesday:

  • Students were given a list of 20 words with definitions that I went over with the class.
  • Then students were given a packet (2 sheets of paper with things copied on the front and back of each page) titled “Suffixes -ation, -ion, tion.”
  • Students were to write the 20 words on the lines on the first page of the packet (page 104).
  • Then, on a separate sheet of paper, students are to complete the sorting activity under “Practice” at the bottom of page 104.
  • Next, on the same sheet of paper, students are to complete the sentences under “Write” at the bottom of the first page (page 104). The students must do 10 sentences with a word in each sentence and underline the word in each sentence.
  • Finally, students are to complete the backside of first page (which is page 105). It has 3 sections on it: “Drawing Conclusions,” “Context Clues,” and “Strategic Spelling.” these can all be written on the worksheet itself.

Homework: Finish what was not finished from class before I see you next. Blocks 1, 3, and 4- that is tomorrow. Blcoks 2 and 5- that is Thursday.
