This week, we are:

Math: solving two step word problems with all 4 operations by using an equation with a letter standing for the unknown. This will be assessed next week. Students can use practice pages in the 3rd grade math workbooks for extra practice.

Writing: reviewing the how to answer a write on demand using writing strategies learned in the class: opinion writing and point of view.

Reading: reviewing 3rd quarter standards (point of view, cause and effect, context clues, describing characters).

Language Arts: using conjunctions in sentences.

Science: explaining how to conserve natural resources to stop pollution in Georgia.

Social Studies: participating in activities on Colonial America Day!

Class Wish List: #2 non mechanical pencils (we are out!), pencil erasers, and tissues

Colonial America Day: Tomorrow is the big day! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to send in donations. Students may dress up in colonial attire or wear standard attire. If your student wants to participate in the bartering activity, please send in the signed permission form. Students can bring in a jigsaw puzzle if they want to participate in the puzzle center.

Early Release: Tomorrow, March 14.

Milestones Review: The Milestones review packet for reading and math is due on Monday, March 19.

Field Day T-Shirts: Tomorrow, students will receive a form and payment envelope if they want to order field day t-shirts. They will be the same color yellow as our class t-shirts.
