Coming Up for the Week of 8/19

We have had a great week!  We started our week by taking our Reading Inventory.  Each student now has a Lexile level to search for novels.  We also learned to Mark Up the Text.  We expect students to Mark Up the Text in ALL subjects.  We will continue to work on this all year.  Paragraph writing was our focus in Writing.  In Social Studies, we learned about the 11 Northeast States and we learned all about being a citizen and our rights and responsibilities.  In Science we continued learning about Constructive and Destructive Forces.  We observed how vinegar could “weather” chalk and recorded our observations.
