Summer Drawing Challenge

Happy Summer everyone!

Here is your Summer Drawing Challenge!

When you finish this, please show me when school starts  so I can see all the wonderful work you did!!  Feel free to paint, color, or shade your drawings any way you like!  That’s one of the best parts of being an artist!

I miss all of you and can’t wait to see you soon!

On this day in 1853 in the town of Zundert, The Netherlands, Vincent van Gogh was born, and the world was forever changed.  Unfortunately, during his lifetime, Van Gogh’s work went unrecognized.  Today, there are several iconic Van Gogh works that people all over the world recognize as being by Van Gogh including Starry NightSunflowersAlmond BlossomWheat field with Cypresses, and Irises, just to name a few.  In honor of his birthday, here are a few coloring sheets for you.

If you would like to read more about Van Gogh and visit the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, please click on the link. (Make sure this is ok with your parent/grown-up before visiting the link!)

Feel free to create your own Van Gogh picture using crayons, markers, paint or anything else you have around the house!

Don’t forget to email me pictures of your art!

Hope everyone is doing well during our digital days of learning! If you are wanting to get a little messy (and your parents will let you) I’ve attached some fun art recipes. Make sure you get permission before you start.  🙂  Have fun and keep sending those AWESOME art pictures to me!  I LOVE seeing what you are making!
