We had a busy week last week in the Learning Commons! Fifth graders learned how to use biblionasium to log minutes, write reviews, and recommend books to their peers. It is like a good reads but for students. Second graders used to pebblego to review the position of a president, governor, and mayor. Third graders reviewed singular and plural nouns using nearpod. We also had a class come in for coding.
We celebrated our summer readers with a pizza party and certificate! Way to go Baker Bears!
All classes have now been through orientation. Everyone should have come home with a book from the library by now. All books can be checked out for two weeks. Kindergarten students can bring home one book, first grade can bring home two, and the other grades can bring home three.
Here are some pictures of students enjoying their books!
Baker Bears read a total of 34338 minutes and 24153 pages. Way to go Baker. Students who met the goal of reading 1,500 minutes will be rewarded with a pizza party in the next few weeks. If your child attended a different school last year and they completed their challenge, please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) your students name and their old school. I will contact the media specialist and verify.
