I have placed lots of blue tickets in books throughout the Learning Commons. If your child find a blue ticket in their book, they get to come to the Learning Commons for a prize. Here is one of our winners!
Students in first grade will be in the Learning Commons this week to work on coding using the app Kodable. This is a free app that you can use at home as well. If you want to play at home, you just need to get the Kodalbe app and select student log in, then choose enter a class code. Contact me ([email protected]) for your class code. Then just choose your name and play!
Students in 1st and 2nd grade have been in to learn about internet safety.We reviewed the three rules to stay safe while online. The rules are:
- Ask for permission before you get on the internet.
- Only chat with people you know.
- Stay on sites that are just right for you.
We also discussed how to decide if a site was just right for you. Students determined if a site was green, yellow, or red based on the content of the site.
