IXL username and password cards were sent home today in your child’s daily binder.
Just a few quick reminders on homework. Class newsletter and homework will be sent home every Monday. The homework will not be due back until the following Monday. I recommend keeping the nutrition and place value sheet at home to use as a review, as well as, the GA regions page. Your child is assigned one weekly activity to choose from the Writing Calendar and then turn it in when completed or the following Monday. They are welcome to choose additional writing activities from the writing calendar, as well as, from the Spelling Tic Tac Toe.
On Monday, a Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe Board was sent home in your child’s daily binder. Please feel free to choose any of the activities to work on with this week’s words that are rule breakers. The weekly rule breaker words are listed under Spelling on the weekly class newsletter and under the Spelling link on our classroom blog. The weekly words for this week are: the, are, and you. You are welcome to choose activities from the board to practice rule follower words with words that have a /k/ sound. I have listed sample words with a /k/ sound under the Spelling link.
The monthly writing calendar will be sent home each month. I will state on each weekly newsletter to choose an activity of your choice from the writing calendar. Your child should do at least one writing activity a week from the writing calendar. If they choose, do more SUPER!! Your child is welcome to turn in their writing to share with the class and to receive a hole punch.
