If your child is missing a coat, please check the lost & found room ASAP. The room will be cleaned out on Friday and anything left will be donated to the Foster Care Support Foundation. Thanks to East Side’s Cub Scout Pack 744 for maintaining the lost & found room! Contact Laura Ray at [email protected] with questions.
Will your child be in fourth or fifth grade next year? Does he or she love to read? Do they have a great memory for what they read? If so, there is an opportunity created just for your child; Mrs. Morelli and Ms. Alexander are recruiting members for their 2018-19 Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team. To participate, your student will have to read all 10 books on the Georgia Book Award list and attend after-school practice sessions from September – January. There will be a parent meeting in May, but students can pick up an application now in the Learning Commons.
The final Box Tops contest of the school year ends Friday, so keep sending in those tops! Please remember to put your child’s name, grade and teacher on each bag. The drop off location is in the lost and found room located near the Learning Commons. If you would like more information about the Box Tops for Education program, which earns money for East Side PTA, please go to boxtops4education.com or contact Christine Conger at [email protected]
The East Side PTA’s spring membership campaign is rolling into its second week with an even neater deal: Buy your 2018-19 membership now, and not only do you get to find out your child’s teacher for next year before everyone else, but you also may win a fabulous prize. Anyone who joins before Friday will be entered into a drawing for Chick-fil-A sandwiches for the whole family.
