It is hard to believe that we are into our last half of the year. We have had many exciting events and there is more to come.
One event coming up soon is our International Night. This will occur on Thursday, March 15, 2018, from 5:30-7:00. We celebrate our diverse community here and would love your participation to make the event more meaningful. Flyers will be coming home very soon.
Also during that week, our Book Fair will be open every day and longer hours for family visits on that Thursday night. You will also be able to visit the students’ Art Exhibit in the gym. It will be a very busy exciting night, so come and spend it with us.
I hope you all enjoy your February Break. Have fun, rest up, and be ready for exciting living and learning at Nicholson Elementary. We truly are the home of many shining stars.
Wow! The school year is moving on very quickly and I can hardly believe we are so far into our first 9 week session.
I am here to support the needs of all our students here at Nicholson so I can be found in many different classrooms as well as helping out by meeting with smaller groups of students.
EIP or Early Intervention Program is a program that allows students to receive additional, direct instruction in reading, writing and math.
Our ESOL program supports students who speak other languages, in all academic areas.
As always, since I support many grade levels, please refer to your student’s homeroom teacher’s BLOG for more grade level important news. Each teacher also has many links to activities that tie into what they are doing in the classroom.
Testing is almost over and we have many exciting events coming up very soon.
