FAQ’s

  • May my student bring in his/her own medication?
  • Will the school give my student Tylenol or Motrin from a school supply?
    • No. The school is only able to dispense medication that parents/guardians have brought in for their student. We don’t keep medication for general use.
  • When should my student stay home from school?
    • Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) suggests the following:
      • Fever (temp over 100.3F) – keep your child home until there is no fever without using medicines for 24 hours.
      • Vomiting or diarrhea – keep your child home until he/she has not vomited, or had diarrhea, for at least 24 hours.
      • Strep throat or scarlet fever – keep your child home until he/she is free of fever and on antibiotics for 24 hours.
      • Flu – keep your child home until there is no fever without using medicines for 24 hours AND symptoms subside. This is usually for 5 to 7 days.
