Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is Thursday, October 19th!

Make magic with the CCSD InTech Department as we celebrate Read for the Record with our 2nd Annual Skype-a-thon. This annual shared reading event is the largest in the nation, bringing millions of people together through the love of reading. This national campaign was launched over a decade ago to address the importance of every child being prepared to succeed in school through the development of language and literacy skills. Jumpstart’s mission is for all children in America to enter kindergarten prepared for success. This year the featured read aloud is Quackers by Liz Wong. This book teaches the importance of learning and accepting that it’s okay to be unique. During the day we will join in the celebration by reading the featured book as well as many others.
