It’s the holiday season and you can find some awesome new apps by shopping the Software Center. The best part is you’ll get to grow your tech knowledge and increase your work productivity…all without spending a dime.
A few of the latest additions to Software Center are:
OneNote Clipper – This app places an add-in with the Edge browser that allows you to quickly clip part of a webpage or a whole article and have it sent to your OneNote Windows 10 app. Find out more about OneNote Clipper here.
Send to OneNote – This app enables you to print any document to the OneNote Windows 10 app. Just go to File and Print and select send to OneNote for items to be printed to a OneNote page. Find out more about Send to OneNote here.
Flipgrid – The Flipgrid app allows easy access to record videos and respond to grids. You can learn more about it and get started by signing in with your CCSD Office 365 credentials. Access Flipgrid here.
Office Lens – This app allows you to take a picture of an item and convert it to a document. With Windows 10, you can use your document camera to snap pictures of paper documents and convert them to digital documents. Learn more about Office Lens here.
Translator – Break down language barriers with Translator. The app will allow you to easily translate written and verbal expressions. Find out more about Translator here. There is also a Translator for Edge app.
Fresh Paint – Get creative and use your computer screen as a canvas with Fresh Paint. Select from a variety of colors and brush or pen strokes to create your unique masterpiece.
The Software Center can be found by searching for Software Center in the Windows Search Box on your computer, or you can use the new desktop shortcut that will direct you straight to its location. Open Software Center to find available software and updates for all Cobb personnel.
Before starting any downloads, remember to plug in your laptop or computer to a power source and be sure it is hardwired. Note that some programs may prompt you for a system restart after downloading.
