Recordex…does that word sound familiar? Since many Cobb schools have installed the Recordex SimplicityTouch Interactive Flat Panels, the Recordex logo may be seen several different places. In addition to the new flat panels, Recordex has software and hardware that may be available at your schools.
XPress, available in Software Center, is a great tool with a wide variety of applications from a simple white board option to creating graphic organizers and anchor charts that can be saved. Users can also access different backgrounds such as graph paper or lined paper where they can insert symbols including shapes, math tools, musical notation, and more. Tutorial videos are available here to assist you with the basics of using the Xpress software.
Another Recordex product possibly located in your school is the SimplicityCam (document camera), which holds a set of annotation tools identical to those in XPress. This slim, space-saving camera is made to use with the new interactive SimplicityTouch panels because it will connect via teacher laptop using pre-loaded software or with the USB port on the front of the panel, which allows substitute teachers to use the document camera without a computer.
