Disney Medical Forms

Below is the link to the medical forms for Disney. They do not have to be notarized. Please sign and return by the deadline of Monday, April 30. Over-the-Counter medication forms are due to Nurse Sanders (school nurse). Prescription medications and forms should be turned in to Nurse Sanders. Her request is that students send medication in the original packaging. You are to only send the amount of medication needed for the trip. Students may drop off the medication to Nurse Sanders by Monday, April 30.

The following is due by Monday, April 30:
Overnight permission/Medical Form to music teacher

  • Friday, April 27: Music in the Parks performance for adjudicators. Students will remain after school.
  • Saturday, April 28: Music in the Parks fun day. Students will arrive at 10:30 am for 11: 00 departure.

“The Greatest Dancers” Participant Link

8th grade students interested in dancing on, “The Greatest Show” in the Spring Concert must sign up via the following link:


25 slots are available. 15-25 students will be selected. No audition is required. Prior data (grades, behavior, etc.) will be used to select participants. Selection criteria is as follows:

  1. Commitment to rehearsals (Wednesday and Thursday afternoons)
  2. Commitment to class (Consistently contributes to daily class goals)
  3. Commitment to excellence (Great in-class behavior, excellent work ethic)
  4. Commitment to performance (Shows expression when performing, has appropriate energy)

Results will be shared during class on Wednesday, April 17. The first rehearsal will be Thursday, April 18, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

6th Grade Show Choir Audition Sign Up

Many students took show choir audition forms this past week. If your child would like to sign up for an audition, please see the links below. There are both morning and afternoon auditions, but everyone signs up for one only. Your child will bring their signed form as permission to audition. Those with morning auditions will receive a pass on Friday, March 16. Auditions begin on Monday, March 19. The video for the second part of the audition will be both shared in class with students, and emailed by Thursday evening. The routine will also be taught in class. Those who pass the audition will be notified by Monday, March 26, 2018. The first rehearsal is on Wednesday, March 28, at 8 am in the chorus room. An electronic copy of the audition form can be found on the blog. It is also attached to this email. Please let me know if you have any questions.

LGPE Final Details (Lunch Plan Included)

A reminder was sent with all students about the LGPE event on Monday, March 5. The information can be found below:

Date: March 5, 2018

Location: Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, Powder Springs, GA

Arrival at Lovinggood: 8 am in concert attire. Students are asked to bring a change of clothes and a sack lunch (explained below)

Departure from Lovinggood: 8:30 am

Performance Times: 8th grade-9:45 am    7th grade-11:00 am    The public is welcome to attend for no cost. This is a very short performance.

Return to Lovinggood: 12:30 pm

Once we return, students will be given time to change clothes an eat lunch. We are asking that all students bring a lunch for Monday. Because our times were slightly shifted, we will not return in time to eat in the chorus room.

All teachers have been notified of the students’ participation in this event. Students will not be in class for periods 1-4. They will report to their 5th period class once they have changed clothes and eaten lunch.

Chaperones will receive more details this weekend.  Please let me know if you need more information.
