Things to Remember:

  1. Monday Quiz over Family Tree labels

Monday:

LG: Review family names, and verb conjugation.

  1. Have students get their workbooks out and complete p. 57. Go over answers when everyone is finished
  2. Give students 10 minutes to study in pairs for vocabulary quiz. They made flashcards Friday so they can use those to quiz each other. Tell them there is no word bank, and it is only over the family tree information.
  3. Quiz on family tree
  4. Handout on verb conjugation practice. They may use their books if they need to, but they may not help each other.

 

Tuesday

LG: Learn and practice vocabulary related to : family members, some pets, and marital status.

Warm-up / Activate:

  1. Warm up by chatting with the class, using previously learned vocabulary, phrases, and structures. Review Contextes vocabulary and homework activities pp. 57.
  2. Quiz Vocabulary Unite 3

 Present / Practice / Communicate:

    1. Have students complete the Communication activities.
  • Present the Les sons et les lettres section, using the Supersite Audio.
  • Have students complete the Les sons et les lettres activities.

Homework:

  1. review vocabulary

 

Wednesday

LG: Learn and practice vocabulary related to : family members, some pets, and marital status.

Present / Practice / Communicate:

  1. Present Culture features to the class.
  2. Work through Culture à la loupe, Le français quotidien, Le monde francophone, and Portrait components of the Culture section in pairs. Add the Le français quotidien words to My Vocabulary.
  3. Watch the Flash culture video. Use the corresponding worksheet from the Cahier de l’élève pp. 63-64

HOMEWORK

  • Complete Activités pp. 63-64

 

Thursday

LG: Learn and practice vocabulary related to : family members, some pets, and marital status.

Warm-up / Activate:

  1. Warm up by chatting with the class, using previously learned vocabulary, phrases, and structures. Flash culture activity check pp. 63-64

Present / Practice / Communicate:

  1. Present and work through the Structures 3A.1 grammar explanation, using the textbook, Grammar Slides.
  2. Have students complete the Essayez! activity and share their results with partners.
  3. Have student pairs or small groups work together to complete Mise en pratique activities.

Reflect:

  1. Have students explain the grammatical structure to a partner.

 HOMEWORK

  1. Have students complete remaining 3A.1 activities in the textbook, if they didn’t complete in class

Friday
