Hey Spartans 🙂
We are in the home stretch, 5 more days until Holiday Break!!
Just a reminder this Thursday and Friday are half days. We will be dismissing at 1:30 both days.
We have had a wonderful Fall Semester and look forward to having an even better Spring Semester. We will be out of the office and away from email from 12/22-1/3.
See you in 2019!!
Hey Spartans 🙂
2 more weeks till Holiday Break!!
We are finishing up the Georgia Student Health Surveys this week in Social Studies.
This Thursday is our 4th annual College Day for 8th grade students. Our goal is to have 8th grade students enter high school with post-secondary educational plans in mind, whether its college, selecting a career/trade, becoming a first responder, or joining the military. Each 8th grade student will have the opportunity to hear from 4 speakers, who will share their experience with post-secondary education and how it has shaped their life.
Our Why for College Day
This week is a Fresh Air Friday and a $2.00 Jeans Day.
Hey Spartans 🙂
In the counseling office, we are getting ready for the holiday break. 3 more weeks!
8th grade students completed their “My Skills” Inventory on careercruising.com. This website is a great tool for college and career research. All students have access to their accounts from school and home. If you need help logging in, please contact your grade level counselor.
All students will be taking the Georgia Student Health Survey through Social Studies this week. This survey is way for us to measure our school climate and to show us where we need to make improvements.
Just a reminder, Ms. Lester will be out of the office Tuesday and Wednesday for a Restorative Practices training. Should an emergency arise, please contact Ms. Gorrell or Mrs. Valencia.
Upcoming Event: College Day (8th Grade Only)- Thursday, December 13th
Happy 1st Day of Hanukkah!
