Week of 8/13/18 – 8/17/19

Great! We have completed the first week and accomplished a lot. Hope everyone is excited as I am about the rest of the semester. Here is a snap shot of what we will be doing this week.

  • Common Assessment
  • Ch. 1 review & unit assessment.
  • Class work outs – Focus on teamwork.
  • Ch. 2 PowerPoint presentation.
  • SLO assessment completed.

Welcome to Personal Fitness

Week  of 8/6/18 – 8/10/18

Over the next few days, we will get to know each other a little better, establish some rules and expectations for the success of you as a student in this class. We will complete fitness gram, common assessment and physical fitness goals you will set for yourself in this class through a writing prompt.

We will complete the vocabulary and the lessons in chapter 1 of the Personal fitness textbook.

Week 2/11 – 2/16/18

Nutrition & your personal Fitness

Students will complete ch. 4 vocabulary.

Students will begin to compile data/forms for digital portfolio.

Students will be divided into groups of 2 and 3 to complete a section of ch. 4 to present to class beginning on Thursday. Students can use 1 of the listed presentation format.

  1. Power point slide
  2. Lecture with handout.
  3. Kahoot/Jeopardy game, with answer discussions
  4. Creative presentation covering identified content.
  5. Video/movie presentation on information.
  6. Diagrams/Charts etc.
  7. Class involvement/activities.

Week of 11/6 – 11/17

Students will be able to identify and explain the workings of the male and female reproduction systems as well as be able to label/identify each of their reproduction systems major organs.

Students will be able to label/identify and explain the function of each endocrine gland and the hormone it releases.

 

Personal Fitness

Week of 8/28/17

We are starting to pick up the pace as we move to Chap. 3. Great Job on your workouts, class assignments, and chapter test.

Brochures and presentation is due on Monday

This week we will cover the first 2 lessons in Chapter 3.

Meal plans and Fitness logs will be given out to be completed.

Personal Fitness

Week of 3/6 – 3/10/17

This is our final week of Personal Fitness. This week we will complete Chapter 5 and work on our final portfolio project.

Next week will be review and preparation for the written final on Wednesday March 15th.

Fitness final will be on Tuesday March 14th.

We will continue to dress out for fitness activity.

Student led work outs will continue.
