Lesson Plans: May 18, 2015 thru May 21, 2015
In class this week, which remember, is the last week of school,we will continue Unit 7 which incorporates Rational Expressions: numbers and their opposites. We will review Unit 7, by working on an integer project, completing an integer activity (Above and Below Sea Level) and playing integer and math related games and puzzles.
Please remember that Wednesday, May 20, 2015 and Thursday, May 21, 2015 are early release days, with Thursday being the last day of school .
Also, please visit the website AAAmath .com as a review resource for your child in math and have them review their graphic organizers on a daily basis over the summer break. This will ensure them comprehending and retaining the information learned in 6th grade over the summer break and help to prepare them for the 7th grade. In class this week, we will continue Unit 7 which incorporates Rational Expressions: numbers and their opposites. We will continue the unit reviewing opposites (positive and negative numbers) , absolute value, ordering integers and solving them in inequalities, graphing and plotting integers, and plotting points on the coordinate plane. We will complete and review the unit 7 study guide on Wednesday and Thursday and take the Unit 7 test on Friday.
Please remember that the last day of school is Thursday, May 21, 2015.
Also, please visit the website AAAmath .com as a review resource for your child in math and have them review their graphic organizers and classwork on a daily basis, regardless if they have homework or not. This will ensure them comprehending and retaining the information learned in class. Be sure to check synergy on a regular basis in order to keep up with your child’s progress in math and all their classes.
