Welcome to a new week, make it great!! Please remember if you need further assistance, you can leave me a message at         678-842-6917 to which I will respond to as soon as possible. You can also reach me by email at                                   [email protected] , in which you are sure to receive a quicker response.

We will continue with Unit 3  this week. Unit 3 focuses on geometric applications of exponents. Please remember to continue solving problems using the Pythagorean Theorem and finding the volume of cones and cylinders. On Monday, we will be finding the distance between two points on a coordinate plane using the Pythagorean Theorem. Tuesday and Wednesday, we will learn how to find the volume of a sphere and hemisphere. We will then begin learning how to find the distance between two points on a coordinate plane using the distance formula. Friday, we will take a quiz on finding the volume of a sphere and hemisphere and finding the distance between two points on a coordinate plane using the Pythagorean theorem and the distance formula. The students will also be given the Unit 3 Study Guide of Friday, for them to complete over the weekend. The Unit 3 test will be given, Wednesday, December 9, 2015.
Please visit the website AAAmath .com as a review resource for your child in math and have them review their graphic organizers and classwork on a daily basis, regardless if they have  homework or not. This will ensure them comprehending and retaining the information learned in class.  Thank you.
I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving break!!

We will continue with Unit 3  this week. Unit 3 focuses on geometric applications of exponents. Please remember to continue solving problems using the Pythagorean Theorem. On Monday, we will be finding the missing sides, parts and diagonal of a prism using the Pythagorean Theorem. Tuesday, we will learn how to find the distance between two points in a coordinate system, also applying the Pythagorean Theorem. We will then begin learning how to calculate the volume of 3-D figures. On Wednesday and Thursday, we will learn how to set up and calculate the volume of cylinders and cones. The volume quiz focusing on these concepts will be given on Friday.

We will begin Unit 3  this week. Unit 3 focuses on geometry and properties of exponents. We will start this week learning about the Pythagorean Theorem. On Monday, we will be finding the missing hypotenuse of a right triangle, and on Tuesday, finding the missing leg of a right triangle. We will take a quiz on these concepts on Wednesday, and then move on to solving word problems using the Pythagorean Theorem along with identifying right triangles. Thursday, we will learn how to solve for multiple parts of two combined right triangles.  On Friday, we will take another quiz on all the material covered this week.
