We will continue  Unit 4, which focuses on Functions. Please continue to review substituting for equations, being able to determine whether a table is a function or non-function, whether a graph is a function or non-function by doing the vertical line test,  and whether maps and ordered pairs are functions or non-functions.
On Tuesday, we will learn how to determine linear functions using the vertical line test. Wednesday, we will review all linear functions learned in Unit 4 up to this point. This will count as a quiz grade. On Thursday we will learn how to determine if algebraic equations are functions or non-functions and if they are linear or non-linear. Friday, we will take a Unit 4 Mastery Quiz that covers all topics learned in Unit 4.
Please visit the website AAAmath .com as a review resource for your child in math and have them review their graphic organizers and classwork on a daily basis, regardless if they have  homework or not. This will ensure them comprehending and retaining the information learned in class.  Thank you.

We have concluded with Unit 3. Unit 3 focused on geometric applications of exponents. Its topics included solving problems using the Pythagorean Theorem, finding the volume of cones , cylinders, spheres and hemispheres. It also included finding the distance between two points on a coordinate plane using the Pythagorean Theorem and  finding the distance between two points on a coordinate plane using the distance formula. On Monday and Tuesday we will complete and review the Unit 3 Study Guide.  The Unit 3 test will be given, on Wednesday and Thursday, with a make up Unit 3 Test to be taken on Friday.
The Unit 3 Test counts a 40% of the class grade. Please take the time to study your notes and pay special attention to the study guide.
