I hope everyone had a great weekend!!  On Tuesday, we will review naming angles and sides and use this to prove that triangles are congruent. Wednesday, we will begin the day with a quiz on congruent triangles and introduce transformations (rotations, reflections, translations and dilations.)  On Thursday we will conduct our DRAW Lesson (Discuss Read and Write) in math, which  focuses on naming and identifying various angles. On Friday, we will review graphing and identifying points on a coordinate plane to prepare for our up coming lesson on rotations. We will also finish our introduction to transformations followed by a matching summative on transformation’s introduction and angles.

There will be no school on Monday, September 5, 2016 due to the Labor Day holiday.

Students please continue to review integer computation, solving 1 and 2 step equations, plotting and identifying points on a coordinate plane, along with what we have previously learned in class on a daily basis, inclusive of you homework assignments.

 August 22, 2016 thru August 26, 2016

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!  On Monday we will complete, remediate and complete a retake for assessment #2, which focused on finding the missing interior and exterior formula using the extended angle theorem. This week in class we will learn how to find missing angles by focusing on the relations of angles made from parallel lines and transversals. Tuesday, we will review graphic organizers which show the relationships of angles made from parallel lines and complete a matching and fill in the blank task.  Wednesday we will model and find the missing measures of intersecting lines. On Thursday we will continue on our DRAW Lesson (Discuss Read and Write) in math, from last Thursday, which  focused on implementing, correcting and explaining the angle theorems we have previously learned. Friday, we will take a quiz naming the relationship of angles and finding all the missing angles of alternate and same side angles. The students will use calculators, their relationship of angles graphic organizers and any previous examples we’ve done in class to complete their quiz.

Students please continue to review integer computation and solving 1 and 2 step equations along with what we have previously learned in class on a daily basis, inclusive of you homework assignments.
