New Resources for Students

Parents,

We are so excited to share this new and exciting resource with you and your student. There is a new partnership between the Cobb County School District and the Cobb County Public Library System called PASS (Public library Access for Student Success.) Students are now able to access all digital resources from the public library using a link through your school’s Cobb Digital Library. Students access resources using their student number as the username and 4-digit birthday (2-digit month; 2 digit day) as the password. Resources like BookFlix, OverDrive, and Lynda.com are available. Check out all resources using this direct link: http://www.cobbcat.org/librarypass/.

January Was Jovial

We had a wonderful first month of the second half of second grade! Our kiddos were off to a great start, learning about opinion writing and diving into longer chapter books. Students worked with manipulatives to solve word problems and add within 1,000! We are looking forward to another month of learning and fun!

December was Delightful!

We had an wonderful December! Students loved getting to see the Nutcracker live and listening to the Polar Express aboard the Polar Express train. They received some wonderful gifts from Ms. Murphy, Ms. Waters, and Ms. Hollifield. We wrapped up our units on nonfiction reading and writing and completed all of our mid-point assessments. Students and teachers are excited to get started on the second half of the year!
