ALL Classes-Lesson/Activity

Began our unit on States of Matter by modeling the different states of matter and how their particles move.

  • Used statement cards to create a 2D model of each of the states of matter
  • Used matter boxes to add to our understanding and incorporate how movement impacts which state of matter is represented
  • Used the Phet Sim-Matter Basics to show how changing various factors can affect the state of matter.

After each stage, students were asked to discuss with their table groups and come up with different questions.   These will be revisited as we move through the unit.
