Rock Eagle Reminders


Don’t forget that your child may NOT transport their luggage and bed roll on the school bus Tuesday morning. You must make arrangements to bring them to the bus port no earlier than 7:30. Campus police will direct you to enter from the street by Dollar Tree.

Remember to label all of your child’s belongings! Painter’s tape works great.

STEM DAY May 9, 2018

If you have or can obtain materials for our STEM Day May 9th we would appreciate any donations you can provide. Please send them by Monday, May 7, 2018.

NEED: Craft sticks, duct tape, cardboard (shipping boxes and/ or cereal boxes), toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, cotton balls

Rock Eagle Forms/Parent Meeting

Please complete and turn in Rock Eagle Medical information form asap. ALL students going to MUST have one returned. It was sent attached to the packing list on Tuesday.

Also, all chaperones and parents of children with medicine and dietary needs are required to attend a Rock Eagle Parent meeting April 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.

WWII Book Tasting

Students were able to “taste” six different WWII related books today and then pick their favorite to read.

All students took their time to read the book’s blurb and start the first chapter of all the books. They also ate a few goodies like in a real café.

Donuts and Donations


to benefit Jenny Lane

WHERE:  Blackwell Elementary School cafeteria

WHEN: This Saturday, December 16th, 8:00am-10:00aWHY:  Jenny Lane, sister of Blackwell’s Teacher of the Year, 3rd grade teacher Liz Chandler, was injured in a horrible accident this past weekend.  While out walking in the snow with her husband and son, a tree branch fell on her, hitting her in the head and severing her spinal column, which has caused permanent paralysis. Jenny has a long road to recovery, and she and her family need any and all help from Blackwell and its surrounding communities.

Individual donuts and donuts by the dozen will be available for a minimum donation.  Additional donations are also welcome.  Please consider stopping by the school, enjoying a donut (or two), and making a donation.
