Today the students received a different study guide, that challenges them with our unit 3 concepts and test taking strategies.  The students will have their Unit 3 Test tomorrow.  I have provided some online practice below.

Friday, December 7th

Thursday, December 6th

Today the students continued to practice Distributive Property and factoring.  The students also practiced for their upcoming test on Tuesday, December 11th.

Wednesday, December 5th

Today the students learned about the Distributive Property in Math. We began by watching the Math Antics video, which I have posted for your review below. Then we practiced our newfound skill with a worksheet, and then a puzzle. I have provided additional practice below.

Today the students worked on writing expressions from word problems and then practiced writing our sentences, restating the questions and answering the questions.  I have provided a link for additional practice below.

Today the students completed their Unit 3 Almost There Quiz, and then worked on a coordinate grid mystery puzzle.

Friday, November 30th

Today the students took the Unit 3 Almost There Quiz.  They were assessed on Translating Expressions, Exponents, Order of Operations, Combining Like Terms and Evaluating Expressions.

The students will have more time on Monday to complete the quiz.

Thursday, November 29th

Today the students began evaluating expressions! We glued notes into our math notebook and practiced solving with substitution. I have provided a video and additional practice below.

Tomorrow, Friday, November 30th, the students will have their Mid Unit Quiz. This will assess them on translating expressions, exponents, order of operations, combining like terms, and evaluating expressions. The students can refer to my blog for additional practice and study.

Tuesday, November 27th

Today the students reviewed Order of Operations and began discussing Combining Like Terms.  The students received notes to glue into their notebooks, we watched a video and we practiced on a worksheet how to combine like terms.  The students are required to finish the practice side (1-26) whatever they did not complete in class for homework.  I have provided additional videos and online practice below.
