New Look, New Name, New Features!

Welcome to a new school year with CTLS Assess!

We are excited to announce that the CTLS Student Performance Tool (SPT) and CTLS Phase 2 will now be known simply as CTLS Assess and CTLS Teach.

Within CTLS Assess there are many new and exciting features! First, you will notice that the dashboard has a fresh new look with user friendly widgets that can be personalized to quickly locate your assessment tools.

MORE QUESTION TYPES

Within Item Builder, you will discover three new item types: Multi-Select, Constructed Response, and Extended Constructed Response. Your local TTIS will provide training this year on how to create these items, use them on assessments, and score them to view the data.

Another new enhancement is the ability to customize the weighting or point values for questions in Assessment Builder.

DATA FILTERING OPTIONS

There are also new filter options when searching for data results. These filters include the ability to search data by course, term, type, and completed, active or pending tests. You can also customize the data results to show in order from date up/down and by name.

SUPPORT

Under the “Help” link in the top right corner you will notice that you have quick access to assessment and support resources. In this section, you will find video tutorials and step-by-step documents for all aspects of CTLS Assess. This menu also contains Frequently Asked Questions and an option to submit Enhancements Requests.

Teacher Groups

Lastly, administrators can now create “Teams” of teachers or PLCs to facilitate data sharing and analysis among the team members.

Viewing Historical Data on New Students

Wondering how to view data on a student who just transferred into your class from another CCSD school? Hoping to view data on your new class in the Fall so you can immediately address the needs of your students?  The document below will provide two options to view historical data on students that were previously in other CCSD classrooms.

Home Page / Dashboard Updates

Several changes have been made to the CTLS home page/dashboard to facilitate navigation and provide quicker access to information.


 

New Synergy link – While still in the list of teacher resources on the left side of the home page, an additional icon that will navigate to the Synergy site has been added at the top of the Student Performance section.

Instructional links adjustments – The current Daily Plan and Long Term tabs have been removed from the links section. The “My Favorite Places Links” section has been removed from the default Web Links tab.

The “My Favorite Places Links” section has been moved from the front Web Links tab to its own new tab called “My Links”. You can still add personal links by clicking on the “My Favorite Places Link” text (it is a hyperlink).

Test filtering adjustments – The current test filter under Student Performance cannot be easily reset. Each filter had to be selected and set back to “ALL” in order to clear all of the filters. A new “reset” link is now available that will switch all of the filters back to “ALL” simultaneously.
