You learned a bit about Suzanne Collins, the author of The Hunger Games. Then we discussed the ways authors use characterization in their writing (direct and indirect).

There is no homework tonight. But don’t forget, if you have library books at home that need to be returned, you need to have them here tomorrow!

In class today we also discussed the benefit of having your own copy of the novel, The Hunger Games.  I have a class set, so it is not required for you to have your own copy, but the ability to mark in the text if you have your own book is fantastic!
