Our fundraiser will be delivered on Monday Nov. 14th. We will need a lot of help that day. If you are available please sign up with this link:
Thank you for your help, and email Mr. Grimes or Mr. Brown with any questions.
We will have uniform fittings for 7th and 8th Grade on Wednesday and Thursday this week. We still need a few parent volunteers if you are available.
Please do not forget that your first deposit for the trip is due this Friday.
We are going to make one change to our payment schedule. We are moving the last day for refunds until December 16th. This will allow you to attend the information meeting on December 1st before you make your final decision about our trip.
If you have any questions please let us know.
Just in case the information about 8th grade night did not make it home; there are links below for the two pieces of paper you should have seen.
8th Grade Night Permission Form
8th Grade Night Final Info
As always, please email us with any questions.
There are two important things that all 8th graders need to remember this week:
- All 8th Grade spring trip permission forms are due back by Tuesday. We will not be accepting any late forms for any reason, so please do not miss this deadline.
- Friday night is 8th grade band night at Walton. Students will be brining home final information on Monday. We hope everyone and attend, and it is not to late to add your students.
Mr. Brown and I want to say thank you to all our parents and students on helping with the fundraiser this year. Special thanks go out to the parents who came in to help out with collection days.
Delivery day will be during the week of November 14th. We will send information home as soon as we can.
We will be collecting all money for our fundraiser on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Please make sure that your student is brining in one check for the entire order made out to Dickerson Middle School, and that you have collected all the money for your orders. Thank you so much for helping your students sell items for our fundraiser and please let us know if you have any questions.
Yesterday we launched our band fundraiser. Your student should have brought home a folder with a letter from Mr. Brown and Mr. Grimes, a prize information sheet, and an order booklet. If you did not receive those things please email one of us. We will be selling until September 21st, and the estimated delivery date is November 14th.
We have asked the students to ask their customers that write checks to make them out to you, and have you write one big check to the school for the entire amount. Money will be due on September 21st when the order sheets are due.
If you are not interested in participating in the fundraiser, but you would still like to help the program, we always except donations.
If you have any questions about the fundraiser please email one of us, and thank you again for your help.
We would like to welcome all our new 6th graders to the Dickerson band program. The students have been given a lot of information, so we want to make sure all our new parents know what is going on.
We have a first lesson night on Monday night (August 15th) at 6pm in the Dickerson Theater. Students will learn how to assemble their instruments and make their first sounds. Parents will have a meeting to talk to Mr. Grimes for a few minutes before joining their students in their instrument groups.
We have asked that all students have their instruments and books in class on Monday.
Below you will find images of both the books they need.
Essential Elements 2000
Alfred’s Essential Music Theory Book 1
We also sent home two pieces of paper to be signed. Links to both forms can be found below.

Finally we have asked that all parents fill out the google form below.
Thank you all so much for working so hard to get your students what they need, and please email Mr. Brown or Mr. Grimes with any problems.
Dr. Brink has asked that we make this opportunity available to all of our students.
