On Wednesday September 14, we will be going to Publix and Subway for our first Community based Instruction (CBI) trip. At Publix, we will be going on a grocery store scavenger hunt. We will be eating lunch at Subway. We are going to work on what we are going to order on Tuesday. If possible, please have your student wear a North Cobb or orange shirt on Wednesday. Also, money for lunch. I am thinking around $10.00 to be on the safe side. If you do not want your student to have Subway please let me know. We can bring a lunch from school or they can bring a lunch from home.

Tonight is Open House at 6:30!
If you are unable to attend, I will be sending home all the information with your student tomorrow. I have sent home another great opportunity for your student. Heart 4 Others is a great organization that I have worked with in the past. They are offering FREE classes on Saturday mornings!
This week we started a lot of our functional learning. We are pairing up with the magnet leadership class on Mondays and Wednesdays. They will be organizing games, treats, and lessons for us to enjoy each week. This will be great to help us work on our social skills! I also had a meeting with the owner of Zoyo and we will be teaming up with them to start selling Zoyo yogurt during the week. Don’t forget Open House is on August 23rd. I hope to see everyone there!!!
I am so happy you are here!! My name is Ashley Dinkel and I am the new AU teacher at North Cobb High School. I have loved getting to know your students and we have had fun getting to know each other.
Each day, please check your student’s folder. I will be writing about their day and sending home any important information you may need.
Right now, we are needing each student to bring in a pair of headphones. We are going to an intro to business class and the students need their own pair of headphones. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. [email protected]
I hope you all have a great week!!
