2nd Benchmark of 3 books will be due on October 24, 2018. Students can write a summary, give an oral summary, or create something to show that they have read the book.

 

100-500 pages=1 book

600-1000 pages=2 books

1000-1400 pages=3 books

1500-1900 pages=4 books

2000-2400 pages=5 books

2500-2900 pages=6 books

3000-3400 pages=7 books

3500-3900 pages=8 books

4000-4400 pages=9 books

4500-5000 pages=10 books

 

Grading:

All assignments are worth 100 points unless otherwise stated. Homework, quizzes, projects, classwork is worth 60% of the students grade. Unit test and performance tasks are worth 40% of the students’ grade.

*Feedback-feedback will be given on the assignment on a need to basis. Students have been advised that if they have questions to come and see me and I will tell the students why they miss points on their assignments. Most feedback is given in class. Students will receive rubrics on various assignments but most feedback will be written on their paper. Students will receive rubrics for major projects and performance tasks assignments.

No make up work or extra work will be given unless students have been absent. All work is completed in class. Even when I assign homework, I still give students time in class to complete the assignment.
