Good afternoon!  I had so much fun with you today, and it was a great way to end the week before a break.  Thank you for being such eager, thoughtful participants today.

There is no assigned homework over the break, other than to have a great break!  If you have taken those surveys, thank you.  If for whatever reason they won’t open on your device, please do not worry.  They are not required and if I can get answers from most of you, my homework will be done. 🙂

See you April 9th.

Your Teacher Needs a Little Help :)

Hey kiddos,

Can you help me do my homework?  If you could take a few minutes to do a favor for your favorite 6th grade math teacher it sure would be appreciated.  Don’t worry about your answers, I just need a few participants to answer the questions in these surveys.  Come see me if you participate for a small token of appreciation. 🙂

Good afternoon, Kiddos.

Today in class we…

Math 6 and Advanced Math 6 (Blocks 1, 2, 4, 5): Reviewed coordinate grid reflections.  We started taking MSG notes on absolute value, but did not make it through all of them.  There is no assigned homework tonight.

Science (Block 3): Took the winds quiz.  There is no assigned homework tonight.

See you tomorrow!

Hello Kiddos,

Today in class we…

Math 6 and Advanced Math (Blocks 1, 2, 4, 5): Plotted points, polygons, and their reflections in all four quadrants of the coordinate grid.   Homework tonight is to complete the reflection practice worksheet.

Science (Block 3): Reviewed global winds.  Homework tonight is to finish the reading questions if you did not finish them in class.

See you tomorrow. 🙂

Hello Kiddos,

Today in class we…

Math 6 and Advanced Math 6 (Blocks 1, 2, 4, 5): Took MSG notes on plotting points on a coordinate grid using all 4 quadrants.  Tonight’s homework is to complete the coordinate grid worksheet practice.

Science (Block 3): Reviewed the connection between density, temperature, global winds, and local winds.  There is no assigned homework tonight.

See you tomorrow kiddos!  If you are in orchestra play well! 🙂

Hello Kiddos,

Today in class we…

Math 6 and Advanced Math 6 (Blocks 1, 2, 4 & 5): Explored positive and negative numbers.  If you’d like to review the math antics video we watched in class you may do so here: http://www.mathantics.com/section/lesson-video/negative-numbers.

Homework tonight is p. 841, #1-13.

Science (Block 3): Took SSG notes on air currents, density, and wind.  There is no assigned homework tonight.

See you tomorrow! 🙂

Hello Kiddos,

Today in class we…

Math 6 and Advanced Math 6 (Blocks 1, 2, 4, 5): Reviewed for the Unit 6 test.  Homework tonight is to complete the correction (if you are choosing to do one) and to complete the study guide.  On the study guide you can skip #4, 5, 6, and 7.  We did not make histograms and you will not be asked to make one on the test.

3-21-18

Hello Kiddos,

Today in class we…

Math 6 and Advanced Math (Blocks 1, 2, 4, 5): Practiced more with finding measures of center and variation using data sets.  Homework tonight is to complete the optional correction (check Synergy) and the optional study guide.  Both are due Friday and will not be accepted late.  Remember – there is an open note statistics test on Friday.  Since the test is open note it will not be eligible for corrections, so make sure you are ready to use your notes and your time well!

Science (Block 3): Finished the Atmosphere part of this unit and took an atmosphere quiz.  Homework is to finish the atmosphere and temperature graph if you have not finished it already.

See you tomorrow!

3-20-18

Hello Kiddos,

Today in class we…

Math 6 and Advanced Math (Blocks 1, 2, 4, 5): Finished an independent assignment on determining the measures of center and measures of variation of a data set.  Homework tonight is p. 798, #1-3.

Science (Block 3): Worked on a graph that displays the temperature variation in atmospheric layers.  This graph is due Thursday.  You may have some class time to work on it tomorrow after the atmosphere quiz, otherwise it will need to be finished at home.  Use the quizizz I posted yesterday to help you study.

See you tomorrow. 🙂

Hello Kiddos,

Today in class we…

Math 6 (Blocks 1 & 2): Practiced finding the measures of center and measures of variation for data sets involving animal size, snow, and housing prices.  Homework tonight is p. 723, #1-8.

Science (Block 3): Put some study information in our SSGs for the Atmosphere quiz Wednesday.  Homework is to practice the quizizz link:
