Good afternoon!  It was lovely spending the day with the all of you!  Here are highlights from today.

Social Studies: Today in class we continued looking at factors that influence trade (location, climate, and natural resources). There is no homework tonight unless you need to finish your responses on the graphic organizer we started in class.

Math: Today in class we continued dividing fractions.  There is no homework tonight unless you need to finish the Ticket Out the Door.  If you took that home to finish it bring it back tomorrow.  It is graded.

PICTURE DAY IS FRIDAY!

Everyone is having their picture taken for the yearbook, even if you are not ordering pictures, so make sure you are camera ready! Here are the highlights from today.

Social Studies: Today we watched and summarized the CNN 10 current even clip since our class time was short today and will be interrupted Friday for pictures and the social media assembly. There is no social studies homework tonight. I passed out a study guide and the answers to the study guide to those of you who scored 70% or less on the European Geography Quiz.  Please use those to STUDY, complete the reflection sheet, and prepare for the retake next week.

Math: Today we practiced dividing fractions on our desks.  Homework tonight is to do the EVEN PROBLEMS from day 2.  Here is a video helping you with #2, #4, #6, and #8.

Social Studies: Today we watched a short video showing some of the castles and sites along the Rhine River, just to see what it looks like in the region of the world we are studying. We also looked at how location, climate, and natural resources impact trade.  There is no homework tonight, unless you need to finish your response to the notes that we started in class.

Math: Today in class we took MSG notes on dividing fractions using standard algorithm.  Homework tonight is to complete DAY 1 of the practice problem sheet.  Here are the answers so you can check your work for accuracy.

Here are highlights from today.

Social Studies: Today in class we looked at European geography in more detail.  We started to examine factors that influence trade, and we will continue with that tomorrow.  There is no homework today unless you need to turn in your paragraph.

Math:  Today in class we divided a whole number by a fraction with a model. Tomorrow we will be dividing fractions, mixed numbers, and whole numbers using standard algorithm.  Homework tonight is to finish the modeling page – although most of you finished it in class!

Social Studies: Today in class we started looking at 10 countries in Europe, their capitols, and 9 physical features of the that region of the world.  What we started in class today we will finish tomorrow, so there is no homework tonight.  Here is a link and a game code to study for the quiz on this material.

Social Studies: Today in class we worked on the final copies of your social studies paragraphs.  If you did not finish this in class please work on it at home and turn it in Thursday. Tomorrow you need COLORED PENCILS in class, so please have them with you.

Math: Today in class we finished up the MI.  Take home division quizzes were passed out and due back Thursday.

Today in class we took the Social Studies SGM (Student Growth Measure) and the MI (Math Inventory). There is no homework tonight unless you have unfinished classwork that needs to be turned in.  Please check your grades in Parent Vue/Student Vue.  If you are missing an assignment it is marked with a “0” along with a note.  Students with zeros not turned in my Thursday will be assigned to ZAP. Stay on top of your achievement!

Social Studies: Today in social studies we looked at how strands of social studies connected to the character’s life in the book Weslandia.  Then we started to brainstorm ideas about how social studies connects to our own life with some pre-writing.  If you did not finish the prewriting in class please finish it at home tonight so tomorrow you are ready for the next step.
