This week in eighth grade we are starting our novelty ensemble where we put our knowledge of rhythms to use in an unusual way. More information to come!
With our knowledge of African percussion and characteristics of African music, we have put together simple rhythms. This clip includes call and response and a polyrhythmic texture.
Over the past two weeks, we have been learning about basic note values and rhythms. Written in three parts, this song has put our new knowledge to the test.
