Hey 8th Grade Spanish Students!
Here’s some research guidance for you as you entice tourists to visit your country. Be sure to brainstorm and consider all the things that appeal to you when you travel. It is especially important that our information be from reliable and relevant sources, so we will be using the databases to which we subscribe through the Cobb Digital Library. Let’s get started!

Welcome Back to the Media Center!
Eighth grade classes are visiting the media center along with their ELA classes for a review of the media center behavior expectations, policies, and procedures. In designated groups, students will visit stations to complete specific objectives. Media specialist Mrs. Baker, Media paraprofessional Tracey Webb, along with Durham ELA teachers, will guide students along the way. Also during their visit, students will have the opportunity to check out materials. Yay for reading more books this year!

Welcome Back to the Media Center!
Seventh grade classes are visiting the media center along with their ELA classes for a review of the behavior expectations, policies, and procedures. Students will also have the opportunity to verify their computer and Office 365 passwords and connect to the WIFI if they are BYOD approved. In collaborative groups, students will visit stations to complete specific learning targets. Media specialist Mrs. Baker and Media paraprofessional Mrs. Webb, along with the help of Durham ELA teachers, will help guide students during their visit.

Sixth grade students are visiting the media center for the first time this week with their ELA teachers. Media Specialist, Mrs. Baker and Media Paraprofessional, Mrs. Webb will introduce 6th graders to the Durham Media Center where students will search the library collection utilizing the online catalog, Destiny and will then locate and check out books of interest to them. Any students from Mrs. Stahler’s, Mrs. Hall’s, Mrs. Dean’s, and Mrs. Slade’s ELA classes who missed this exciting event should view the Media Center Orientation and complete the accompanying Media Center Orientation Guide.
