SUMMER EDITION LUNCH BUNCH by Erin Baker

Our Virtual Lunch Bunch has been so much fun, we are taking it into summer! Virtual Lunch Bunch will continue to meet throughout the summer on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. This is a fun way to connect with people who love to read in a relaxed and inclusive setting. On Thursday, May 28th we will make our next selection from Sora’s Sweet Reads where we have access to unlimited copies of the book we choose. If you are interested in receiving an invitation to our Zoom meeting, share your email address via the Microsoft Form. There’s no pressure to commit.

*The invitation is open for CCSD students, parents, faculty and staff only.

Biblionasium Access Ending Soon!

In partnership with the Cobb County Public Library System, CCSD Library Media will be sunsetting Biblionasium this summer and moving to Beanstack as our Reading Challenge Platform. Students will have access to their Biblionasium accounts through June 26th. Those who participated in the Durham Library’s March Madness and Beyond Reading Challenge will be recognized, so students are encouraged to enter their reading minutes if they have been waiting to do so. The Cobb Public Library System will be taking the lead with Beanstack during the summer break, and then CCSD Library Media will continue that momentum in the fall. Summer Reading details are now posted on the Library Learning Commons blog.

2020 Summer Reading Adventure Begins June 1st!

6th AC Inquiry Research

Hey Kiddos! I’m excited about your inquiry research process and recommend specific databases in the Cobb Digital Library to support your hunt for information. PLEASE do not dive into your research until you have reviewed the video links below and have evaluated each source. You want to be sure you use the BEST resource for your particular topic.

Gale in Context: Global Issues and Gale in Context: Opposing Viewpoints are produced by the same company so you use them the same way. Below are videos to show you how to perform specific tasks while researching within these two databases. (BTW, I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH!)
