Teacher Resources

As a supplement to the BrainPOP subscription through Cobb Digital Library is access to BrainPOP Educators which is a hub for free professional development and resources such as lesson plans, webinars, video tutorials, graphic organizers, and so much more.

Also, do you know that BrainPOP has an app? Students can view all movies and quizzes on the go.

NOTE: BrainPOP Educators is separate from the BrainPOP login within CDL. Visit it directly from the hyperlink above. For the Durham specific log-in for the two resources noted above, see Media Specialist, Mrs. Baker. While on campus, students should visit BrainPOP from the CDL icon on the desktop of all school computers. While off campus, BrainPOP can be accessed via the CDL link on our school website.

The Cobb County Public Library System is offering Educator Cards with specialized borrowing priviledges. Educators living outside of Cobb can gain access to CCPLS educator materials free of charge.

For Help from the Durham Media Center

  • Complete, sign, and give to the media center staff, the Educator Card application found here.
  • Media Specialist, Erin Baker will confirm your employment and add your name to school letterhead. (CCPLS board policy requires this letter.)
  • On April 14th, Media Specialist, Erin Baker will forward all Educator Card applications and the aforementioned letterhead to the county office who will then deliver it to CCPLS.

Educator Cards should be delivered by the end of the school year.

In-person applications

Educators are also welcome to visit any CCPLS library to receive an Educator Card. They must bring the following:
