The ECMS Community Outreach Committee would like to give a big shout out to all those that participated in the recent Food Drive! Thank you for your generosity!  Our food pantry is fully stocked just in time for the holiday season.

The ECMS Angel Tree will be in the Front Office on Monday, November 28th.  Please take a minute to stop by and pick up an angel to support our East Cobb families in need.  All angels will be due back to school by Friday, December 9th.

Jingle Jam for our students will be Wednesday Dec 21stWinter Holiday Fun!
In order to participate, students are to show Respect, Effort, and Pride! We have provided students with Jingle Jam behavior criteria which will be monitored through Friday, December 21, 2016.



Week of November 14th

Progress Reports will be distributed to students during homeroom on Thursday, November 18th!  Please be on the lookout…  Also, 7th grade students will have their IOWA/CogAT score reports if they were enrolled at ECMS on September 15, 2016.

PTSA and The Foundation has kicked off a joint fundraiser. Rather than selling candy or wrapping paper they are asking for ECMS families to simply make a tax deductible donation to the Jr. Wildcat Campaign.  Parents you will receive a blue flyer along with your child’s Q2 progress report on Thursday that outlines the campaign goals and how your donations will support and benefit teachers and students at East Cobb Middle School. Please look for it! Our PTSA and Foundation appreciates your support.

Don’t forget, on Friday’s we have Breakfast in the Lobby at 8:45am until they are all gone.  Chick-fil- a Breakfast sliders are $2.50 or you can buy 2 sliders for $4!  Proceeds help our Foundation support our school!

Students jump for joy at XDrenaline! Spirit Day at XDrenaline is on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm

The Parents Guide to Understanding Test Scores session is this Thursday November 10th at 10am only! An additional Parent Assessment session will be scheduled for the spring in March closer to Milestones and EOG Assessments.

The talent show is this Thursday Night November 10, 2016. Tickets can be purchased through Wednesday November 9, 2016 at school in the front lobby and near the café each morning.  Tickets are $3! Remember that students are to be accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

Parents, we invite you to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey. Your feedback is extremely important to us. This climate survey is a vital part of future planning and determines our star rating as reported on our CCRPI score. We appreciate your time and your responses. The link will be available on the PTSA and our school’s website. We will also have computer stations available in the Media Center and in the Parent Resource Room. ECMS’s Got Talent! On sale now… East Cobb has Talent Show tickets! Tickets are $3.  Please note that students must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult as well.

Reflections entries are due this Friday November 4th “What is Your Story?” is the topic.

The Parents Guide to Understanding Test Scores Session has been rescheduled for November 10th at 10am and 6pm in the Parent Resource Room at ECMS!  There will be two sessions to accommodate schedules.
