PSAT Score Reports are in!  8th grade parents, score reports will be sent home with report cards on Friday, January 6th.  If you would prefer to pick them up, they will be available beginning, Monday, December 19th.  Please stop by the front office with appropriate ID to obtain your child’s scores.

Jingle Jam for our students will be Wednesday Dec 21st!  Winter Holiday Fun! In order to participate, students are to show Respect, Effort, and Pride! We have provided students with Jingle Jam behavior criteria which will be monitored through Friday, December 21, 2016.

Please be reminded, students are in school December 19th, 20th and 21st!  The Holiday Break doesn’t start until December 22nd.  Students will return to school on January 5th

A message from ECMS/PTSA Community Outreach Committee: “The ECMS/PTSA Community Outreach Committee would like to thank the East Cobb community for your amazing generosity!  Thanks to your support of our Angel Tree, over 200 gifts were collected to be given to families in need within our school cluster.  We would like to thank you again and wish everyone the happiest of holidays.”

Friday December 16th is Holiday Hat Day for all staff and students! 

Please join us for our 7th/8th Grade Chorus Concert Monday, December 12th at 7PM!

Please join us for our 6 grade Winter Orchestra and Band Concert Thursday, December 15th at 7PM!

The Jr. Wildcat Fundraising Campaign has been extended until December 16th.  By now, all parents should have received a second blue flyer with their child’s progress reports before Thanksgiving with more information.  Please return them as soon as possible, as we are still working toward making our goal!  Every dollar helps fund a variety of things including field trips, teacher support and family programs.

Project Lead the Way!
East Cobb Middle School offers a pre-engineering curriculum for students! For current 6th grade students who plan to apply for admissions into related science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs through Project Lead the Way, the deadline to apply for next semester is Friday, December 9th.
PLTW: Intended to meet the educational needs of academically strong students in mathematics and science and who have demonstrated an interest in and aptitude for technologies.
Admission: Admission into this program is both a selective and competitive process offered to 6th grade students. Students will be notified directly by East Cobb Middle School regarding their acceptance status.
