READ READ READ! One of our goals is to show growth in student Lexile scores. An action to reach this goal is to give students an opportunity to read more. We read at least once a week during our Advisement Period. Parents, you can help us with that action at home and have your child read for at least 20 to 30 minutes each night. The more you read to more you know, the more you read the better your score. Thank you for supporting our goals and actions.

Parents if you are interested in having your child enter a Cell Phone Contract with you before allowing them to have a cell phone or before continuing to allow them to have a cell phone, we have copies of contracts here at ECMS. It is a great idea and offers provisions to help keep your child digitally safe. Stop by and pick one up in the main office and consider using it. You can also google cell phone contracts specifically with adolescent and teenage children in mind. Also parents, consider having your child surrender their phones and devices to you prior to bedtime. This will assure they are getting sufficient rest and a peaceful sleep. That is just one example of the provisions included in the cell phone contract.
