Welcome back…  We are in the half way through the school year!

Quarter 2 Report Cards will be made available in StudentVue and ParentVue on January 11, 2019. Parents, remember throughout the remainder of the year you will have to access your child’s progress reports and report cards online via ParentVue. Please sign on the appropriate line for Q2 Report Card indicating that you have viewed your child’s report card online and reviewed the contents in the envelope. Students should return the signed envelope to their homeroom teacher as soon as possible. If you have not registered for ParentVue code, please do so. Come visit student services or use the ParentVue barcode on our webpage and follow directions on how to get your code.

Parents, you are invited to a workshop: Youth Culture, Social Media, Your Child and Bullying. This workshop is being presented by the Cobb County School District Prevention Intervention department. The workshop will be here at East Cobb Middle School: Tuesday, January 8, 2019 @ 5:45 pm.

Hidden Dangers: It’s not if, it’s when!  The hidden dangers that our children face today are very real and much closer than many of us think. According to the US Department of Justice, 76% of predators most common first encounter is online.
Please come, hear more, and learn more on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 @ 6:30pm at East Cobb Middle School. This event is open to the community. Susan Norris from Rescuing Hope and Jeff Shaw from Out of Darkness will speak to us about protecting our children in this online world.   There will be separate forums for parents and students. You are asked to please RSVP students and parents before the event. Students must attend with parents. For more information and to RSVP, please visit our PTSA website: http://www.ecmsptsa.com/ ECMS students who attend with their parents will receive 5 REP Stamps!

Tutoring/Help sessions are at 8:15 every morning! If students arrive at school prior to 8:45 they will report to help sessions in the appropriate grade level. Monday – Language Arts, Tuesday – Science, Wednesday – Study Skills in the Theater, Thursday – Math, Friday – Social Studies

Parents for morning drop-off, please remember that the curb (red) in front of the school is a fire lane and is for drop-offs only. Please do not park. Some parents have been parking and waiting; which hinders other students from being dropped off. If you are here early and wait to let your student out of the car, please park in the parking lot and then drive to the drop off lane to let your student out in front of the school.
