East Cobb Middle School has experienced population growth that exceeded our projected teacher allotment needs. To better meet the academic needs of our students we have hired 4 new teachers. We have hired an additional 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher, 8th grade Music teacher, an English Language Learner Teachers, a new PE/Health Teacher. This will allow us to alleviate some overcrowding and reduce the ratio of students to teacher for these core subjects and PE/Connections.
Beginning Quarter 2 (October 14, 2019), students were randomly assigned to these new classes.
