Final Unit in Social Studies!

For our last hoorah in Social Studies, we are going to learn all 50 states!  We will be practicing in class and learning them region by region.  We don’t have much time so we need to practice at night!  Below are several websites that have fun games to practice on.  Please share any apps or websites that you have found.  Thank you!!

Social Studies News

Everyone has done an excellent job during testing these last 4 days.  We have one more day to go! Social Studies standards will be tested tomorrow.  The Extra Credit sheet that I passed out before Spring Break is due tomorrow.  Several have already turned it in.  You were to track the number of times you did the Quizlet sets to review all we have learned this year.  It wouldn’t hurt to go through the quizlets one more time tonight 🙂

Our next unit of study in Social Studies will be Westward Expansion. This week we will be telling the kids about our Land Grab Simulation.  It will be on May 1st.  You will be receiving more information about it in your child’s weekly folder, as well as on this blog.  Look for a Sign Up Genius email for opportunities to donate or volunteer at the event.                               It will be a lot of fun 🙂

Thank you so much for all your support at home!                                                                                                                                            Mrs. Morgan 🙂covered wagon
