McCleskey Middle School Counselors will be at Blackwell this Thursday, February 8, at 8:15 a.m. to discuss the transition to middle school. Please come if your child will be attending McCleskey next year. They will be able to answer any questions and address any concerns with this next stage of your child’s education. The meeting will take place in the Counselors’ Group Room.
Valentine’s Day is approaching. If students would like to, they can exchange valentines on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14th. In order to share the valentines, every student in that homeroom must receive one. No student can be left out. There are 22 students in Ms. Conolsino’s class and 21 students in Mr. Frankel’s class.
Today, December 8th, all evening activities in Cobb County are cancelled. As of now, we are on a normal schedule school day.
The final installment for Rock Eagle is due by 12/20. The new total per student will be $105.25, instead of $130. Any chaperone that is not paid in full by December 20th will be removed from the chaperone list and we will roll their payment to cover any outstanding balance for their student. Any additional money that is not used can be refunded with a written note requesting a refund. The final installment, due by December 20th, is $15.25 per student and $30 per chaperone.
Tomorrow, December 6th, the 5th grade students will be participating in the Performing Arts Fieldtrip. We will be watching the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at Lassiter High School. All students are encouraged to dress up for this experience.
On December 4th and 5th, the 5th grade students will be participating in the Human Growth and Development program. If you have not yet returned the permission form, please make sure to do so by Thursday, November 30th.
It is hard to believe, but we are already kicking off our Rising 6th Grade events. We will be hosting Discover Daniel Night on Tuesday, November 14th from 6–8 pm. We will have an information session with a Q & A panel and guided tours around the building.

We have finished raising money to help with the cost of the student price for Rock Eagle. Each student will receive a deduction of $29.75. The new student total is $105.25. If you would like to make a full payment for your student, you are now able to do so. The payment schedule is as follows:
October 27th: $30 per student and chaperone
November 30th: $30 per student and chaperone
December 22nd: $15.25 per student and $30 per chaperone
All students will be receiving tan emailed link for an invitation to schedule a conference. All scheduling will conclude on the 6th. After October 6th, we will schedule a conference for you.
