Kindergarten, 1st,and  2nd classes: All K-3rd grade classes continued to check out books from the learning commons, and some classes participated in a reading of Sheila Rae the Brave to discuss character traits or a different version of a fairy tale in order to compare/contrast fairy tales (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S 1A).

3rd, 4th and 5th grade: Classes continued to check out books with their classes. Also, fifth graders started working with business letter writing this week (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S 1A).

Technology Tip Tuesday

Our technology tip this week is a little different than normal. This week we are posting a new technology resource our students and teachers at Frey have access to. Students now can use Bookflix to read paired fiction and nonfiction texts. At school, students do not need a password or username to login. If you would like to access Bookflix at home, please contact Mrs. Sherman or child’s teacher for the login information.

We hope everyone had a great winter break and stayed dry and warm! This week’s technology tip is actually two tips in one! If you select the Ctrl key+ Backspace key,  you can quickly delete the word to the left of your cursor. If you select the Ctrl Key + Delete key you can quickly delete the word to the right of your cursor. These are quick tips you can use to easily edit a document.
