Learning Commons Updates September 19th-23rd

Due to the testing schedule this week, many classes came for check out only this week. We hope to resume our normal schedule of lessons after fall break! Don’t forget we have ALL next week off for the break!

Also, the September book promotions (Book vs. Movie) are due Friday, September 23rd in order to be entered to win a free book from the book fair in October!

Learning Commons Updates September 12th-16th

Another great week is almost over in the learning commons! See below for what each grade level is working on!

K: We worked with retelling stories or focusing on characters and setting. Some classes came for small group or whole class check out (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S 1A, ELAGSEKRL3).

1st: Some classes discusses picked a just-right book for them or focused on re-telling a story. Again, some students came in small group or whole group to check more books (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S 1A, ELAGSE1RL3).

2nd-5th grade classes: All second, third, fourth, and fifth grade classes continued to review Destiny (which does have some changes this year!) as well as how to find books on their lexile level. Classes continued to check out library books (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S 1A).
