Technology Tip Tuesday

This week’s tip serves as another reminder about our new resource we have access to: Bookflix! Students now can use Bookflix to read paired fiction and nonfiction texts. At school, students do not need a password or username to login. If you would like to access Bookflix at home, please contact Mrs. Sherman or child’s teacher for the login information.

Learning Commons Updates January 23-27

This week in the learning commons we continued with small group and whole group check out as well as lessons with grade levels. Please below for specific grade-level information.

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade: We continued doing close reading of books centered around winter and January holidays  (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S 1A).

3rd grade-5th grade: Classes continued to check out library books. Also, Mrs. Sherman continued to work  with 4th grade math multiplication problems with the bee bots (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S).

This week in the learning commons we continued with small group and whole group check as well as lessons with grade levels. Please below for specific grade-level information.

Kindergarten. 1st and 2nd grade: We continued doing close reading of books centered around the 100th day of school (celebrated this Friday!) (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S 1A)

3rd grade-5th grade: Classes continued to check out library books. Also, Mrs. Sherman worked with 3rd grade math classes this week in order to solve multiplication problems with the bee bots  (AASL 1.2.2, NETS-S).

Technology Tip Tuesday

This week’s tip is actually an announcement/reminder about the upcoming Science Fair!  Students still have plenty of time to choose and execute a great project!  Applications and guidelines are below.  They are also available for download on the school website.   Please note that applications are due by February 3rd and projects presentation boards are due on your grade level’s assigned day.  Good luck!
