End of Year Stats from the LC

See below for our year-end statistics from the learning commons! We had a packed year between our school-wide literacy day, makerspace activities every morning, Breakout Edu sessions, book clubs, and countless other lessons and stories!

Summer Reading Information

This summer students will register for summer reading online through the Cobb Public Library.

The Cobb County Public Library Summer Reading Adventure will begin June 1, 2020. Students and families will register at http://www.cobbcat.org/summer/. Goal: Read 20 minutes a day for 20 hours this summer. Don’t forget you can access materials through Cobb Digital LibrarySORA, and your PASS account through the public library.

A reminder that I would love to hear to your book reviews for books you are reading during our digital learning days. Click here to record a video on flipgrid of a book review! You will login with your Office 365 account information. If you have questions, please let Mrs. Sherman know.

Also, the Biblionasium challenge–read 800 minutes by May 11th–is finishing up this MONDAY! We will be using a different platform for summer reading, so more information will be coming about that soon!

I know many of you have missed visiting the Learning Commons for stories, so join me TODAY (Friday, May 8th!) for our last live story time at 10:30 using this link (just click the link, and you will either need to install teams or simply open on the web–either way will work!).
